Family Life Committee
The goal and purpose of Family Life is to help family members grow in faith in God, love for each other, and understanding of what it means to be a family. Our definition of family is inclusive: we reach out to singles, engaged couples, married couples - with and without children, two parent and single parent families, and the separated and divorced. We know that family needs are as diverse as the people who comprise them. For more information please call the office at (315) 782-2468.
RCIA
The RCIA is the process by which adults are welcomed in the Catholic Church. It is a learning and loving process. Holy Family's RCIA Team has been together since 1988 welcoming and nurturing new Catholics into the faith. If you are interested in knowing more about the Catholic faith or you would like to serve on this ministry team please contact Midge Fraser @ (315)782-4064 or jfraser1@twcny.rr.com.
Radio Choir
The Radio Choir is a traditional choir with organ accompaniment. The choir sings at the 9:00 am liturgy on Sunday, midnight mass at Christmas, the Triduum liturgies during Holy Week and other special services. At present we have 12 faithful members but always welcome new members. No auditions are required. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM. Our organist is Mr. Ed Kemp . For more information please contact Timmie White (315)788-2528.
Altar Rosary Society
The Altar Rosary Society is an organization that helps pay
for various items used on our altar and special projects. These items
include new vestments, altar linens, candles, wine, and hosts. The
society also paid for renovation of the gathering area in the back of the
church and the present altar.
Money is raised
through fund raisers. We have many generous people who are Associate members.
Annual dues for associate members are $5.00. These members are called upon at
various times during the year to assist with the fundraising projects.
Members run the gift shop located at the front of the church. The gift
shop is open after weekend masses or by appointment. Money
from the blue and red candles in the front of the church is collected by the
society.
Since 2001, the Society has held an annual Harvest Dinner and Craft sale
each October.
This family-oriented event has been a successful fund raiser, and has also
helped to foster a social bond within the parish and community. For
the past few years, the society has also sponsored parish youth at Camp
Guggenheim.
Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the
month except during July and August in the sacristy at 7:00 PM. New members
are always welcome. People may join as either active members or
auxiliary members. Contact any member for more information.

Childrens Liturgy
We celebrate Childrens Liturgy of the Word every Sunday at the 9:00 & 11:00 AM masses. The children are invited to come forward after the Opening Prayer before the First Reading to participate. The Priest speaks to them briefly and they go to the sacristy with a teacher and an aid. They rejoin their parents after the Prayer of the Faithful. Because this is the Church of the Holy Family we make every effort to be family friendly. Examples of this are; the childrens corner in the vestibule of the church containing books and other items, a large gathering area for little ones who find it difficult to sit for long periods of time, and changing stations in our restrooms.
