Our Watertown Catholic parishes are blessed with three people
wanting to become Catholic! On October 11, Fr. Deepak and Deacon Kevin Mastellon welcomed Mike Molnar at the Rite of Acceptance - part of the RCIA process! On October 18, Fr. Mickey and Deacon Guy Javarone initiated Chandler Kiel and Cassidy Turner on their journey of study and reflection of how Jesus works in their lives through the Catholic faith. When they are dismissed after the homily, they go with a catechist who helps them understand the Scripture readings they have just heard. After Mass their sponsors and members of the RCIA team join them. These young people have been led by the Holy Spirit and the people in their lives who witnessed this marvelous faith to them. You will see them at St. Patrick's at the 9:30 Mass and at St. Anthony's at the 11:00 every other week. Please keep them and their families in your prayers. For more information on the RCIA process check out St. Patrick/ St. Anthony website. Invite others you think may be interested in joining our faith! These are thoughts from Mike Molinar, a Seeker of our Catholic Faith. The RCIA is showing to be more than a group to gain knowledge of the Catholic Church. It’s a place where like minded individuals who share the same goal and moral code can work to achieve a more spiritual understanding of this life. Many ask me why I chose to start this journey and the more I think of an answer the less it makes sense. The RCIA is not the start of my journey, but more of a preparation for the climax. I did not initiate this journey. It started 25 years ago on the day of my birth unbeknown to me. The Holy Spirit affects all people of this world and has given me a path to follow and mentors to lead me and named it the RCIA. For this I am ever thankful. |
